Ein kleines aber feines Eiscafé, das witterungsbedingt öffnet. Alles ist darauf ausgerichtet, dass bei schönem Wetter Eis und andere in einem Eiscafé erhältliche Getränke und Speisen serviert werden können. Daher war ich heute, obwohl ich seit Sommer 2013 in Remscheid lebe, das erste Mal dort. Der Kundenandrang gibt dem Eiscafé Piccolo recht: Mein Spaghettieis Spezial war ebenso gut wie die zwei Kugeln Eis, die meine Begleitung sich ausgesucht hatte. Und ob Eishörnchen oder -becher: Verzehrt werden darf das Eis auf der dem Eiscafé zugehörigen Terrasse. Das einzige Manko, was aber wohl Geschäftskonzept ist, ist dass das Eis nicht in Glasbechern etc. serviert wird, was den Besuch dort nicht besonders nachhaltig macht. Der Qualität des Eises schmälert dieser Punkt jedoch nicht. Nachtrag (16.3.2025): Die Kugel Eis (gute Portion) ist für 1,50 Euro zu haben, was mir, angesichts der derzeitigen Preisentwicklung, noch erschwinglich erscheint. Empfehlung der Eissorte „Zuppa inglese“ und „Mohn“.
